轉眼一個學年又過去了。學期結束前幾天，小猴每天都會帶回一些過去一年寫的作業——數學、作文、週記、繪畫…。從一本本佈滿字跡和簡單插畫的作業簿裡，可以清楚看見孩子一年下來學習的痕跡。他的作文從簡單的單字，變到越來越長的句子，拼字的準確度和字跡清晰度上也都進步許多；讓人難以相信，這中間才不過一個學年的時間。週記（Journal）裡紀錄了他對週末的描寫；作文本裡有各種不同的主題：「我喜歡的運動」、「我喜歡的動物」、「我的朋友」，「我」、節慶的簡單描寫、還有老師讓他自由編造的故事。雖然每篇文章都短短的，只有一兩頁（每個週末讀起來都過得很開心）；這卻是孩子第一次把對生活的感想和體會，以及想像的世界，完整地用筆寫下來。這一年，無疑是他書寫發展上一個重要的里程碑。我從他的作文簿中挑了幾篇，做為他小一學涯的紀念。

Journal:

1. My weekend was good. On Monday I watched Rio. It was a good move(movie). My favorite part was when the blue birds got put in a cage on the airplane. My real favorite part was when blu lerned(learned) how to fly. It was a good good move(movie).  In the end of the move(movie) the two blue birds had babys. I also went to main(Maine) on Saturday. I had a lot of fun in main. On Friday I went to the beach. I had fun there. I even got a toy at a store! It was caled(called) the dark pirtes(pirates) patroll(patrol). I had a lot of fun.

2. On Saturday I went swiming whith(with) my dad. That nigt(night) I fond(found) a “extraordanriy”(extraordinary) white rock. I bought it home. On Sunday I went to soccer. I was on fiere(fire).

1.Spider

It was a warm day. But when I got to Kirk’s tow (two) hoes(house), on the roof of one hose(house) was a SPIDER! It was not small. The SPIder was huge! “Munch Munch!”He ate the hose(house). “The end. ” The spider said.

＊Kirk is one of Isaac’s best friends in first grade.

2. If I were…

If I were a seed, I’d be a cactus.

I would need one shower a month.

Not the shower a human takes but the drops that come from the sky.

I would be spiky. No one would touch me.
